CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Corporate Social Responsibility is a cornerstone of our company policy. Ex-pack provides breakfast, lunch & dinner to all employees and also provide essential items like tea, milk powder, provisions at subsidized rates. The company also issues school books free to the children of all workers. Workers also enjoy the services of medical camps where they undergo free check ups and treatment for dental, general, diabetic etc.
As part of CSR activities, the Company has implemented many projects for the residents of the area. Ex-pack has taken the initiative in providing meals for the participants of the dengue prevention, shramadana, Wesak and poson dhansel programs in the area. The company has also constructed a 1km long drain which was a great relief for residents of Pattiwila village as it prevents flooding in the low lying areas.
“Pivituru Pasel” Program (Project 2) – 2016
The Second “Pivithuru Pasel” program was initiated at Mahinda Vidyalaya in Mabima on 14th October 2016 along with Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha and Solid Waste management unit of Western Provincial council.
The aim of this program is to educate the children on how to effectively manage the solid waste by classifying into categories such as Polythene/plastics, paper waste, recyclable and biodegradable waste etc. Ex-pack intends to continue this program to other schools in the area in the near future
Ex-pack MediCare Medical Clinic in Pattiwila
Started on 30th June 2011, Ex-pack Funds & Manages a Dispensary in the Pattiwila Area for the benefit of the villagers. The Chief Incumbent of Shri Shailarama Purana Viharaya has been supportive of this initiative which renders a great service for the village citizens and has provided space within the temple premises to run this Clinic. The Clinic is held thrice a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and provides free medical consultation and medicine to all needy persons irrespective of their race, religion and nationality.
Erection of Bus Shelters
We identified the need to serve the deserving passengers who had undergone severe hardship during adverse weather conditions due to the absence of a proper bus shelter at Sapugaskande and Pattiwila Junctions. The entire structure was designed and made by our own engineering staff
